Product Description
Ca-Mg-01 alloy for use in lead refining is comprised substantially of magnesium and calcium. The preferred ratio on a weight basis of magnesium to calcium is between about 1.2:1 to about 3.0:1. A method of refining a lead bath with this alloy is disclosed which provides a high recovery ratio of impurities present therein.
Ca-Mg-01 specification data:
Ca-Mg alloy (Ca 30%, Al 70%)
Size: 30-150mm or 7.5kg+/-0.5kg/ingot
Reducing agent and alloy additive in Smelting.
Information & Background:
This products is mainly used in melting industry ,the magnesium calcium alloy is primarily used in the removal of bismuth from lead for refinement purposes. The alkaline elements in the alloy react with the molten lead under controlled conditions. After treatment with magnesium calcium, the lead melt is cooled to the liquidus point which results in the alkaline-earth bismuth compounds to separate and float to the top of the melt where they are removed by skimming the melt.
Magnesium calcium alloy ingot is mainly been used in debismuthizing process which based on the traditional Kroll-Betterton technique. Usually using mixture 70% magnesium and 30% calcium, by adding ingot during the disbismuthizing process ,refineries will save time and gained satisfied results . Using Magnesium Calcium Alloy enables lead refineries to operate more efficiently and safely.
A magnesium-calcium an alloy for use in lead refining is provided which is rich in magnesium and has magnesium to calcium ratios on a weight basis ranging between about 1.2:1 to about 5.2:1, the lower ratio corresponding to the intermetallic compound Mg2 Ca.
Due to this invention from USA, Ca-Mg-01 has wider application in lead smelting process. We welcome your inquiry once you would have possible trial or actual use. We are sure to be high-quality, best service and professional supply to you all.
